  32. The purpose of the Romulan Star Empire conference (AreaTag:
  33. ROMULAN_STAR_EMPIRE) will allow for the Star Trek enthusiast to set-up his/her
  34. own Romulan Role-Playing, adding whatever aliens, vessels, empires, etc., they
  35. deem necessary. If they wish, they can also use this echo as a general Romulan
  36. echo conference.

  42. Due to the subject matter of this echo, "Handles and/or Aliases"  *IS*
  43. permissable.

  47. STICKING TO THE TOPIC(s):

  49. In general, a message will not be considered "Off-Topic" unless it contains
  50. one or more of the following:
  51.  
  52. (1) Excessive use of terminology generally considered inappropriate for the
  53.     general audiences.

  55. (2) Personal attacks in the form of SPECIFIC threats.
  56.  
  57. (3) Advertisement(s) for services, items for sale or trade, BBS systems or
  58.     organizations.

  60. (4) Personal or organizational advertisements, if the message has no other

  63. A single off-topic message is not necessarily cause for Moderator action -
  64. however, the Moderator reserves the right to take whatever step(s) he/she

  66. practice, this conference runs itself very well - the Moderator does not

  74. Perhaps the most important rules in ROMULAN_STAR_EMPIRE echo are simply these:

  76. (a) Do not be easily offended.

  78. (b) Do not easily offend.

  80. Due to the nature of the Romulan way's, flaming *IS* permissable provided, it
  81. is in the contents of Romulan Role-Playing.

  85. IN GENERAL:
  86. ===========
  87. (1) The Moderator feels that "Origin Lines," at least, ought to be verifiable
  88.     and legitimate.
  89.  
  90. (2) Complaints to the Moderator can be sent in various ways, all of the
  91.     information you require, is at the top of this message.
  92.  
  93. (3) The Moderator reserves the right to take part in any or all discussions on
  94.     the conference, without regard to his/her status as Moderator. When he/she
  95.     is acting specifically as Moderator, he/she will sign their message as:

  97. (4) For individuals who violate these few and simple rules, the following will
  98.     occur:
  99.  
  100.     a) 1st Offense - mild warning in the above mentioned echo.
  101.  
  102.     b) 2nd Offense - more severe warning in this echo and a carbon copy
  103.                      forwarded to SysOp.
  104.  
  105.     c) 3rd Offense - NetMail message to your SysOp of previous warnings and
  106.                      infractions.
  107.  
  108.     d) 4th Offense - The link of your particular system will be severed for a
  109.                      minimum of thirty (30) days.

  111.       NOTE: Certain offenses may require immediate steps to preserve the
  112.             integrity of the echo.
